General questions
Dentists typically outsource the manufacturing of appliances to dental laboratories, the appliances are then returned to the dentist and provided to you. When you order from us you’re ordering directly from our dental lab. Our experienced team will manufacture your appliances and deliver them directly to you.
Taking your impressions is very easy and only takes around 5 minutes. All the equipment and instructions you’ll need will be included in your free kit that will be posted to you.
Dentists will usually outsource work & have a dental lab manufacture appliances, which are then returned to them and provided to you. This is both expensive and time consuming. When you order with us you’re ordering directly from our lab, this allows us to keep our prices as low as possible.
Your kit will include enough material to attempt to make your impressions multiple times. If you send us an impression that has any issues, such as tearing, warping, etc. we’ll have a new kit sent out for you at no charge so you can provide us with a new set.
Once we receive your impressions we aim to have your appliances manufactured & posted out within 7-10 days.
In the unlikely instance your appliance doesn’t fit, whether it be loose, too tight, or doesn’t fit properly, we’ll remake this for you.
We will be able to accept any models made from resin, plaster, or plastic. We are unable to accept existing appliances that you want duplicated. Nor can we accept any digital files for security reasons.
Your impression kit will include a shipping label that will cover all costs for returning your impressions to us. Your impressions can be posted to us via a post box or Post Office.
None of our appliances contain BPA or latex.
If you send in your own models we will have these returned with your appliances. If you use your home impression kit to take your impressions, we will be unable to return your impressions to you.
Night guards
All of our night guards are approximately 2.5mm thick.
We offer both dual-layered night guards, which consist of a soft layer for comfort, and a hard layer on top to protect your teeth, and fully hard night guards for people whom suffer from severe grinding at night.
Your night guard will fully cover all but your last teeth, this has no effect on the performance of the appliance, whilst making it as comfortable as possible for you.
Our dual layered night guards have a soft layer which makes contact with your teeth, this provides maximum comfort when worn. The second layer is made from a hard material, this protects your teeth from grinding.
Custom retainers
Our retainers will not move your teeth, their purpose is to keep your teeth in place after braces, aligners, or orthodontic treatment.
Our retainers are genuine essix retainers, and are made out of hard/rigid essix material. We do not offer soft retainers.
Our retainers & impression kits will work perfectly fine alongside your bonded/wire retainer.
Our standard retainers are 1mm thick, if you require thicker retainers for grinding we offer these on our retainers page.
Our standard retainers will not be suitable for you if you grind your teeth, please order our thicker retainers which will last longer if you grind your teeth at night.
Sports guards
Our sports guards range from 3-5mm thick, depending on what sport you intend to use them for.
Currently we’re only able to offer the designs we have listed on our website.
Only our 5mm thick guards are suitable for sports that involve head contact (such as boxing) or sticks, such as in hockey.
Whitening trays
Our whitening trays do include reservoirs, these allow a more even distribution of whitening gel, providing you with optimal results.
Our whitening trays are soft, we do not currently provide hard whitening trays.
Please refer to the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the whitening gel you’re intending to use.
All of our whitening trays are extra secured to avoid this from happening, if you do however get gel on your gums please wipe it off with a cotton swab immediately.
